This 4 week course is a hassle-free way to explore the fundamentals of song writing; incorporating some background theory as well as exercises on melody, harmony, lyric writing and with a dip into different styles and some online music tools. Exercises will look at elements of song writing in bite-sized chunks to facilitate participants exploring their own creativity in each area as much as they like, with feedback from the tutors and support from the group. Follow-up notes and recordings from each session will be included to help you continue exploration between sessions.

Teaching is via Zoom video sessions, Wednesdays 6.45-8pm on 21st and 28th April and 5th and 12th May 2021. Early bird discount until 21st March using the code EARLYBIRD10.

This course is aimed primarily at those who are keen to try writing songs for the first time - all voice types, instruments and musical experience levels welcome.
